Spectrum Ecology supports film and television productions working in protected landscapes, historic properties and ecologically sensitive locations across the UK.

Our role is to help production teams understand ecological considerations, secure the information needed for location permissions and work responsibly without unnecessary disruption to the creative process.

Our experience includes filming in woodlands, coastal landscapes, historic buildings, designated sites and habitats supporting protected species.

We have advised on location selection, tech recces, crew access, lighting, drones, marine activity, stunts, special effects and the practical protection of wildlife and habitats during filming.

We have worked with production teams connected with leading broadcasters, studios and streaming platforms. Some projects remain confidential, so we do not publish a complete production list.
